March 19, 2006 is the 3rd anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Veterans for Peace is  organizing this five-day march along Gulf Coast Highway 90 to demand the immediate return of our troops from Iraq, and to call for U.S. tax dollars to be spent on human priorities and rebuilding of the devastated Gulf Coast, instead of the illegal occupation of Iraq.

The Empowerment Project has videotaped activities during the March and Rally in Fayetteville, NC. The March 19th event is being sponsored by Military Families Speak Out, Iraq Veterans Against the War, United for Peace and Justice, Veterans For Peace, and Bring Them Home Now, among many others. Soldiers Speak Out gives a loudspeaker to the courageous and patriotic anti-war and anti-occupation movement within the military and amongst military families.
